I’m Milou Sprokel, a brand designer and photographer based in Barcelona.

My work moves between visual identity and image-making, shaping brands through structure, atmosphere, and narrative. I’m drawn to projects rooted in culture, hospitality, and craft, brands that value clarity, restraint, and longevity over trends.

My approach is grounded in slow branding: building visual systems that unfold over time rather than react to the moment. I focus on coherence, from typography and layout to imagery and tone, ensuring every element feels intentional and connected.

I’m the founder and creative lead of el medi studio, where I develop brand identities and visual worlds in collaboration with strategy and copy. The studio allows for a holistic approach, combining design, photography, and direction within one cohesive framework.

Alongside studio work, I take on a limited number of personal collaborations each year, particularly photography projects and focused design engagements.

At the core of my practice is a belief that good design should feel considered, grounded, and built to last.
