I’m Milou Sprokel, a Dutch brand designer and photographer based in Barcelona.

I work across visual identity, art direction and photography, often for hospitality, spaces and brands expressed through a physical place, product or experience. I’m interested in how a brand holds together in real life - from the sign on the door and the typography on a menu to the images people eventually see.

My approach is measured and practical. I prefer a small number of clear decisions over a system built around trends: typography that can grow with a brand, colour tested in context and photography that reflects how a place genuinely feels.

In 2024, I co-founded el mediterráneo studio with Lieselot Berentzen. Together, we work on full brand projects across strategy, identity and photography. Alongside the studio, I take on a small number of independent design and photography commissions.
